I’m working on my nursery. Do you have any rugs to go with the Carter’s Jungle bedding collection?
This question came from one of our salesmen who is expecting his first child soon and is working on the nursery. Needless to say, I was excited to jump in and help him find the perfect rug for his new daughter’s room. The walls of the nursery are a pale blue, so we had to incorporate that in along with the pink, yellow, green, and brown bedding. The carpeting is a medium beige-brown and Mom’s rocking recliner is chocolate brown. The crib and dresser are gray. How do you tie all of those colors together? By using a patterned rug, of course. Additionally, while I was looking at the bedding online, I saw so many cute bedding ensembles that I decided to present several more with coordinating rugs and lamps.
Any of the three rugs would go with the Jungle bedding set, but I like the Surya Skye rug the best. The background ties in well with the nursery room walls and the multi-shades of green and pink pull in the colors of the bedding. The tropical pattern accentuates the jungle theme. If you want to stay a little more neutral but still have palm fronds, the Portera rugs are a good choice. All three rugs are outdoor safe, so they are easy to clean and can withstand most of the wear-and-tear from a small child. With its multicolored base and pink shade, I love the Sookie lamp from Ashley to go with the Skye rug.
Coastal themed design is all the rage right now, and it makes for adorable nurseries. The High Seas collection from Just Born has whales and anchors in multicolored shades of blue and cream. The Habersham rug is a simple blue and cream stripe that is classic with coastal design. The wavy patterned rug adds whimsy and is appropriately named Lullaby. Play up the nautical elements of the bedding set with the anchor lamp or choose an aqua glass lamp that reminds you of sea glass on the beach.
Mossy Oak has its hand in more and more products every year. The Northwoods bedding set ties in well with outdoors, lodge style. Surya’s Big Sky Cabin collection from Mossy Oak features animal footprints which kids would love. Lamps with pinecones or moose antlers further the lodge design and can work in an adult’s room as easily as a child’s.
I’ve had so much fun working on these collections, that I’m going to have a second installment in the near future. For any of these solutions for the nursery, or any other room, visit your nearest Home Furniture.
