Home Furniture Plus Bedding was founded in 1945 by George P. Fleming in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Several years later, Mr. Fleming's son, George E. (Ged) Fleming, joined his father's company. The young entrepreneur would soon spread his wings even further and open his first Home Furniture store in Lafayette, Louisiana in 1972. Ged would go on to open several more retail locations in the Lafayette area before eventually expanding his scope to Texas in 1996 with a store in Beaumont. Home Furniture Plus Bedding has expanded in incredible ways over the years. The heart of the company, however, remains the customer. All members of our staff, from sales associates who work at our retail locations to those who work in our distribution center in Lafayette, LA, are committed to providing you with quality furniture and exceptional service.
